But remember: this geju requires zero malefic stars across the San Fang Si Zheng. In practice, truly clean Officials Surrounding Formation charts are rare — which is why this pattern carries such high regard.
Lone Emperor in the Wild: Standing Alone, Self-Reliant
Lone Emperor in the Wild is the opposite of Officials Surrounding Formation. The main star in the Life Palace is present, but none of the San Fang Si Zheng positions have any stars — the main star stands completely alone. This pattern is most commonly seen when Zi Wei is alone in the Wu Palace or Zi Palace with no accompanying stars.

The key word is "sudden" — but the sudden breakthrough always follows a long grind. People with Fire-Tan or Bell-Tan Formation shouldn't expect early-stage ease. Three More Patterns Worth Knowing
